Vibe Sourcing
I’ve been thinking about this term as an alternative to Vibe Coding

Vibe coding gives you code nobody has read, because it didn't exist until you asked for it. Vibe _sourcing_ gives you code with a history — commits, issues, a licence, a maintainer, and any vulnerabilities somebody already found and filed.

In practice this looks like "I need a system or software that does _x_" but instead of telling your agent to produce a plan to make and maintain it, you tell it to "Help me define my requirements, then let's look for open source projects that are suitable".

On generated code, only you can review it. On sourced code you can look at the last commit date, how the maintainer answers issues, what the licence actually permits, and whether there's a CVE against it.
