This is one of the last XTeInk 4 devices. They stopped selling them the day mine arrived from AliExpress. And it’s a shame because it’s a good example of ‘one thing well’.

I have it loaded with CrossPoint and threw a 64GB card in so it can hold my entire book library with a little rooom to spare.

There’s no touch screen! It’s all button driven, and while that takes a little getting used to, it does help centre the purpose of it being ‘just a book’. My youngest kids also love it and as they’re beginning to read properly it’s a good thing to hand to them in a waiting room.

Minor niggle is that the USB-C port is hardware locked and can only charge, so everything has to happen either over WiFi or via the SD card.
