Why The Tanzania Trip Is Important

To re-quote what I said to a friend on Facebook earlier, we’re doing great work out there, and our kids need the exposure and experience as much as the students out there need our help. Our annual trip is incredibly important, as it sows the ideas of community and service into the minds of our students, who will hopefully remember the experience for the rest of their lives. With further luck and opportunity, they will get the chance to go back and give more. I got the chance to go in 2006, and cannot describe the happiness I felt when I was told I would have the opportunity to return to help more.
